4D foundation spatial data framework

ANZLIC – the Spatial Information Council initiated the Foundation Spatial Data Framework (FSDF). The FSDF consists of approximately 300 spatial datasets clustered into 10 broad themes. FSDF provides a common reference for the bringing together of foundation level spatial data and is a national standard – all territory and state jurisdictions contribute their component to form a national FSDF.

FSDF means that spatial data is open, available, affordable, accessible and functional for users. It is working to deliver national coverage of the best available, most current, authoritative foundation data which is standardised and quality controlled.

Spatial Services is proud to contribute to this initiative. For more information about FSDF and the 10 themes please visit http://fsdf.org.au/.
