NSW SDT Policy Framework

The NSW Spatial Digital Twin Policy Framework (the Policy Framework) provides data governance on how spatial information should be integrated into the NSW Spatial Digital Twin (SDT) using a series of guidelines and technical requirements and ensures the efficient exchange of information, improved data quality and increased usability of the NSW SDT.

Published under DCS-2025-02 NSW Spatial Digital Twin Policy Framework, the Policy Framework provides guidance to NSW Government agencies wanting to share their information in the NSW Spatial Digital Twin. These documents are endorsed by the NSW Data Leadership Group and are reviewed on a regular basis by the NSW Government Spatial Leadership Committee.

The NSW Spatial Digital Twin

The NSW SDT is a part of the Live NSW Program which aims to share NSW Government data and create a single platform where anyone can find accurate and certified information. The NSW SDT is a powerful cross-sector collaboration tool which allows the NSW Government to make data-driven decisions to create better, smarter cities, and plan for Australia’s future.
